Humble beginnings

It all started with a serendipetus exploration with the CEO of my past company, Sharat, whom I reached out as I quit amazon and wrapped up a few engagements here and there.

The Vision

Students today do not have access to the next generation of educational technologies. With LLMs, and potentially AGI on the rise, we do not know how life will pan out. And this is our hypothesis, to prepare humanity through the transitory phase of AGI.

The Hypothesis

Humans will not be obsolete. While it is a possibility, perhaps the popular opinion, I do not believe it to be the case. We will stay relevant and we need to adapt.

Why do I think so?

In my blog on AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) vs AHI (Augmented Human Intelligence) I go into details on how I view the AGI/AHI dilemma might pan out.

And in my view, we humans are merely utilizing fraction of our cognitive capacity most of the time. Majority of the time, we are not doing anything significant or meaningfully productive. However, I believe ownership and agency solves that. If we truly want something, and want it bad enough, we can get it.

The Post AI era

This is our understanding of “Post AI” era.

1. Post AI era - Here we have the current technology but massively integrated and productized. This is the period just before reaching either AGI or AHI. This period is marked by explosive productivity growth.

2. AGI era - arrival of “true” AGI. Where the system is generally intelligent, embodied and can function without supervision. Heavily aligned

3. AHI era - this is the alternate to AGI. The bit longer timeline version of what if we could integrate Intelligence Accelerators within our cognitive architectures.

4. ASI era - This is if we never reach AGI, and intelligence hyperaccelerates and reaches ASI.

5. Human Superintelligence - This is what I am rooting for, that we reach superintelligence. This is where our minds can expand rapidly and witness what it feels like to understand the universe. I don’t find it fun if another alien entity understands and gives me suggestion.

Preparing for the Post AI era

Like it or not, the Post AI era is here. With the launch of Manus we are witnessing more integrations of LLMs into our daily lives. And are we prepared for this? We probably aren’t.

This is why we are trying to prepare the youth for the Post-AI era. In this era technology takes action on behalf of you. It researches, generates, creates and builds.

So, what do we do?

We still have to work hard. The opportunities will be endless. If someone has an insight, solution or idea that the average LLM doesn’t have, it could be worth millions. The ability to keep up in an ever changing world will be the only thing that matters - and it requires agency. Agency to say NO. Agency to pick your own battles and agency to carve our own professional path. Traditional Careers might just be Dead in the Post-AI era.

This is why, we will introduce our actual product, where we can find various ways to navigate the Post AI era. Develop agency and other skills required to survive the wave. Because believe it or not, it is coming. And it is coming for us.

The Product

Checkout Youmay.Live it is the 4th iteration of our product and it is doing decently well. This is merely a prototype and isn’t indicative of the final product form that we will achieve.

Product Vision

In this iteration, the product vision is as such:

1. The user onboards to Youmay by providing some basic information about themselves, what they like, who they are, and what they want to work with.
2. Then they are guided through a few interesting journeys to figure out the attributes they resonate with the most.
3. They receive a list of careers, stratified into three categories, Established, Pioneering and Niche. For each, they will receive some metrics and other options such as Career Simulations, Career Research etc.
